The cook

I developed my love for sweet potatoes, cornbread, watermelon, greens, and...more sweet potatoes down in Atlanta GA, the place I will always call home. I guess I was destined to love cooking; my Nana basically lives in our kitchen at home.

My kitchen is big, sunny, beautiful; and everyday I thank the Universe for my blessings.  I'm also lucky to have a camera that takes photos that I am happy with.

I dream about food.  Of cooking fantastic dishes to share with the people I love; and creating one of a kind special treats just for me.  While there is very very little "un-cooked" or thought of in the realm of food, each dish, each bowl of mashed potatoes or pancakes can be different simply because each cook is different.  I believe that when we cook, we impart our own flavor and love and soul into the dish.
 
Sweet Potato is my Soul Food journal. When I cook, I like to cook with love, passion from the soul. The food is healthy, vegetarian, happy, and inspired.
